Activating Brick when 'Ready to Scan' appears

If you see the 'Ready to Scan' popup when you tap the center icon in the app and press your phone to the Brick, we’ll help you diagnose the issue.

To start, please:

  1. Download the NFC Tools app from the App Store.

  2. Open NFC Tools, tap Read, and try scanning your Brick.

After scanning, please email the results to hello@getbrick.app so we can help you further.

When you email, let us know:

  • Is NFC Tools able to scan the Brick?

  • On the results screen, do you see a section at the bottom labeled ‘Record 1 - Text’ under ‘Writable’?
